Elizabeth hand stitches the lace and adornments on each gown, and she rarely ever repeats a design, so your christening gown will be uniquely yours. To take a break from her sewing, Elizabeth hand knits infant sweaters while watching TV. Using batiste or eyelet, Elizabeth sews Victorian length Christening gowns, which measure from the yoke down approximately 36", or shorter/longer if desired. Then Elizabeth hand sews lace, ribbons, pearls and antique lace if it's available on the gown and the cap has matching lace trim from the gown so it makes a set. Baby sweaters, hand knit by Elizabeth in all pastel colors with a small contrast stripe in the yoke, are available in newborn to 1 year size. These sweaters are knit in acrylic, so they are soft and washer and dryer safe. Elizabeth even crochets the buttons so there's nothing hard to hurt your baby.
